Below is the general manufacturing process for glass-on-glass PCAP touch LCD panel:
Designing – Silk Screen Printing ITO Patterns – Lasering Silver Ink Traces – Cutting – Bonding FPC – Laminating Touch to Cover Lens – Laminating Touch Panel to LCD Panel.
Glass-on-film PCAP touch LCD panel has similar manufacturing process as GG type touch LCD panel. Usually, the touch sensor is two lay ITO film laminated with OCA.
Resistive touch LCD panel has different design. The top ITO film is laminated on the bottom ITO glass on the bezel. For flush type 4-wire resistive touch panel, there is a PET layer with colored bezel on the top. While 5-wire flush type resistive touch panel has only two layers, the top ITO film with black bezel laminated on the bottom ITO glass. The top ITO layer of 5 wire resistive touch is the ground plane to represent the 5th wire and other 4 wires are designed on the bottom ITO glass.
