Another 15.6-inch Outdoor PCAP Touch Replacement

A client in Agentina was suffering touch problem on an outdoor application. The black ink on the bezel has bubbles and seems to fell off, the display area is turning yello. Regarding this issue, our comment is as below: some Outdoor Touchscreen Applications are exposed in the rain and direct sunlight, which may cause: 1. malfunction of touch (rain, high temperature, low temperature), 2. harm of glare (strong light), 3. cannot flush-mounted (UV-light destroys the ordinary ink silk-printed on the bezel) 4. turn yellow (UV-light destroys the ordinary optical clear adhesive) Facing these difficulties, LB provides touchscreen overlays which can overcome above mentioned problems and fit outdoor environment. How do we resolve these problems: 1. Reliable MCU touch controller, supporting multi-touch, touch with water, gloved-hand touch, wide-operating temperature, strong anti-noise ability; 2. Anti-glare and Anti-fingerprint surface treatment; 3. Anti-UV ink or ceramic ink for silkscreen-printing the bezel on 1.1mm to 6mm thickness front glass; 4. Anti-UV optical clear adhesive to optically bond the touchscreen sensor to the front glass. 10.1-Inch 1000nits Multi-touch LCD Panel for Indoor Appliactions with Strong Light

Basic Information This touch panel will be installed indoor with strong light for a touchscreen control panel on an industrial machine. Some parameters client mentioned: Size: 10.1” Resolution: 1280x800 pixels Interface: HDMI Touch Points: single touch for setting the parameters of the machine and 2 points finger touch for drawing zoom or pinch. Operating System: Windows 11 Other Requirement: built to last LB’s solution For indoor applications with strong light, we recommend a display panel with brightness no less than 800nits. Regarding 2 touch points, we recommend our projected capacitive touch technology with a tempered glass optically bonded. We use optical bonding technology to laminate the touchscreen overlay to the LCD panel. Considering the interface for the display panel, the original interface of the LCD panel is LVDS and use an AD board to convert the mainboard HDMI output to LVDS signal. The touch interface is USB as usual, which is plug-and-play on Windows. Considering the noise of the machines in the room, we use EETI touch controller, which has good performance upon EMI. Upgrading the 21.5-Inch Resistive Touch with Capacitive Touch

Basic Information A client in Europe has a batch of touchscreen control panels. The touch overlay is 4 wire resistive technology. It is assembled on a 1920x1080 pixels LCD display panel. The client wants to upgrade it to capacitive touch on the current design. Size 21.5 inches Operating System Windows XP Touch Points Requirement Single Touch Target Utilizing capacitive touchscreen overlay to upgrading the current pressure-driven resistive touch panel. Structure Requirement Can not change the machine design. Quantity 30pcs Leadtime 15 working days Our Solution: The capacitive touch panel must have the same dimension with the resistive touch panel. At least the current structure can hold it. The connecting cable has to be on the left side, as only there has the cutout for the FPC connecting cable. Utilizing USB-HID touch controller, supporting plug-and-play on Window XP. Setting the touch firmware to be horizontally and testing it to make sure it is working correctly on Windows XP. Using 3M adhesive tape to laminate the capacitive touch panel to client’s LCD panel. LB is not a maintenance company, but we are happy to help upgrading the outdated touch display technology.
